Pratt & Whitney:
overhauling engines in West Virginia for over 50 years
In October 2021, Pratt & Whitney Canada, a business unit of Pratt
& Whitney, celebrated the 50th anniversary of its Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul (MRO)
facility — Pratt & Whitney Engine Services, Inc., located in Bridgeport. The facility employs around 400 people and overhauls between 500 and 600 engines a
year. In 2019, Pratt & Whitney’s U.S.–Canadian team, in collaboration with the state of West Virginia, announced a $30 million investment to add a new MRO
line to the facility. The new line became operational in 2021.
