Mark Glauser was appointed Deputy Head of Mission to the Embassy of Canada to the United States of America in August 2025.
From 2019 to 2024, he was High Commissioner of Canada to Australia. He is a career diplomat, having previously served abroad in Washington, D.C., Amman, Jordan and Geneva, Switzerland.
During his 32 years of public service, he has held a number of senior leadership positions in Ottawa and abroad dealing with international security, national security and intelligence, Canada-US relations and the Middle East.
He holds a BA (Honours – History and Political Science) from the University of Saskatchewan and an MA (Political Science) from Dalhousie University.
Nadia Theodore is a senior Canadian diplomat and executive with extensive experience in international trade, economic policy, and North American relations. Prior to her appointment as Deputy Ambassador in Washington, she was Canada’s Ambassador and Permanent Representative to the World Trade Organization (WTO) and Head of Canada’s Permanent Mission in Geneva.
Throughout her career, Ms. Theodore has held key leadership positions at Global Affairs Canada, including Deputy Chief Negotiator of the Trans-Pacific Partnership negotiations, Director of Canada’s Secretariat for the Canada-European Union Comprehensive Economic and Trade Agreement, and Chief of Staff to the Deputy Minister of International Trade. She also held diplomatic assignments in Geneva and was Consul General of Canada in Atlanta, leading Canada’s engagement across the southeastern United States.
In addition to her public service experience, Ms. Theodore was Senior Vice President at Maple Leaf Foods, where she brought private-sector leadership expertise in corporate strategy and global diversification.
Ms. Theodore holds bachelor’s and master’s degrees in Political Science from Carleton University, a Bachelor of Laws from the University of London, and the ICD.D designation from the Institute of Corporate Directors.
